Unfortunately, we have recently noticed that some members are entering the facilities with sandy tennis shoes despite the posted signs. This neither meets our quality standards nor is it an acceptable situation for external guests of the restaurant.

Therefore, please make sure that you always clean your shoes before entering! Use the mats and cleaning stations provided to remove the sand from your tennis shoes before entering the changing rooms and toilets.

In addition, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times in accordance with our site and game regulations. Thank you for your attention and support!

New organizer contract with license holders from 2025

MMP has been organizing the BMW Open as an ATP 250 since 2014

(Munich / Cologne) World-class tennis at your fingertips at MTTC Iphitos – that’s what the BMW Open has stood for for over 100 years now. The traditional tennis tournament will be upgraded from the 250 category to an ATP 500 event from 2025. This was decided in favor of the Munich tournament at the end of last year as part of a comprehensive tendering process. This will be accompanied by higher prize money (EUR 2.5 million), a larger spectator capacity and a potentially even more attractive field of players. The promotion to the higher tournament category also means a long-term consolidation of the event in the ATP calendar.

Long-term organizer contract – MMP responsible since 2014

MMP Event has been organizing and developing the BMW Open since 2014 and played a key role in shaping the application process for the next higher tournament category. The experienced event agency will now continue to be responsible for the tournament in the long term from 2025: “We are delighted to have MMP on board as an organizer and strong partner for the new era. The mix of expertise, innovation and passion that the team brings to the event and the sport of tennis promises a very successful future for our tournament,” said Dr. Fabian Tross, CEO of the majority license holder and host MTTC Iphitos.

On Friday and Saturday the next tournament of the BTV Kids Tournament Series (Cat 1.) took place at the TennisBase Oberhaching. Lizzy Yelmaonva competed in the U10w category for Iphitos and sensationally won the tournament. Lizzy starts the new year 2024 with a great success!

Preparations for the BMW Open 2024 are in full swing and we are looking for committed people who would like to be part of this exciting tennis event as volunteers.

The BMW Open will take place from April 13 to April 21, 2024 and we are looking for volunteers who would like to make an important contribution to the success of this great event. It’s a great opportunity not only to experience the event up close, but also to play a part in making it a success.

We are looking for support in the following areas:

From the age of 13:

• Ballkinder: Would you like to stand on a court with your tennis idols? Then become a ball kid at the BMW Open and be the one who throws the match ball to the winner. We will of course prepare an exemption request for your school. These requests are usually approved by the respective schools.

From the age of 16:

• Hostess: As a hostess you represent the BMW Open and take care of the well-being of the visitors, sponsors and media representatives in the various areas on the course.

• Logistics: The Logistics department is responsible for ensuring that all transportation to and from the tournament is carried out in an orderly, timely and conflict-free manner. Truck transports must be received outside the hall, directed to the correct entrances and the correct contact persons must be contacted by the tournament organization.

• Press: Be it the daily news, the website or social media – there are many channels to use during the tournament! Support the BMW Open press team and be the contact person for other press representatives.

From the age of 18:

• Ticketing: Manage and sell tickets for the BMW Open for spectators and VIPs.

• Player support: Taking care of the well-being of the players at the MTTC Iphitos facility. Among other things, coordinate the players’ training sessions and the shuttles between the facility and the hotel where the players are staying.

• Infopoint/Guestservice: Answer visitors’ questions about the course and the tournament schedule.

• Event team: Organize all events that take place around the BMW Open. These include, for example, the Kids Day with selected professional players, the draw for the main draw at the start of the tournament and the award ceremony at the end.

• Tournament management: Your tasks are to organize everything around the tournament. This includes the coordination of matches, playing times and courts. If something is missing, you step in and provide a replacement.

• Driver for errands: For example, there is a lack of office supplies, food or the players have certain wishes? Then you come into play and act as a driver for such errands.

• IT / Technology: Ticketing, press, tournament organization, sponsors, ATP – all need a fast and stable Internet connection, as well as a well thought-out and functioning IT infrastructure. Are you a technology fan? Support the technical team of the BMW Open in setting up the tournament IT and supporting all departments during the tournament.
